Sweet Spicy Chicken Wings
These wings are sweet and spicy at the same time. This is a wings recipe that can be adapted however you like. Once you have mastered the wings, the world is yours: you can make so many different and delicious things.
I really like chicken cooked in the oven. It is crispy on the outside and it practically cooks itself, almost always whether they are drumsticks or wings. I do it with a mixture of spices with a spicy touch, It is delicious and the aroma it leaves in the house whets the appetite.
Sweet Spicy Chicken Wings

Ingredients:
- Chicken wings – 1 1/2 kg patted dry
- Ginger Garlic paste – 1 tbsp
- Salt – 1 tsp or to taste
- Garlic powder – 1 tsp
- Granulated onion – 1 tsp
- Paprika – 1 tsp
- Red chili powder – 1 tsp
For the chili sauce:
- Fresh garlic – 2 tbsp thinly chopped
- Butter – 2 tbsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Red chili flakes – 1 tbsp
- Sriracha sauce – 2 tbsp
- Sweet chili sauce – 1 tbsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp

Method to prepare Sweet Spicy Chicken Wings:
- Preheat oven to 180.
- Apply ginger garlic paste, salt, granulated onion, ginger powder, paprika and chili powder on the chicken wings. Mix well and set aside for 20 minutes.
- Then thoroughly coat the chicken wings with corn flour and bake in the centre of your oven on a baking rack over a foil lined baking sheet for 20 minutes. Remove from oven, flip all pieces over and bake an additional 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile heat up butter and oil to sauté garlic and chili flakes. Add the chili garlic mixture in a bowl along with sriracha sauce, sweet chili sauce and lemon juice. mix and set aside.
- Lastly, remove the wings from the oven and flip once more and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the chicken is crisp.
- Let the chicken rest 5 minutes, then toss in the chili garlic sauce to coat.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve.
