Kofta Anday Recipe: English – Urdu

Ingredients:

  1. Mince – 1/2 kg
  2. Onion – 1
  3. Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  4. Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  5. Green chilies – 5
  6. Salt – to taste
Mix above ingredients in mince and make meat balls.

Ingredients for curry:

  1. Onion – 1
  2. Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  3. Tomatoes – 3
  4. Red chili powder – 2 tsp
  5. Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  6. Salt – to taste

Method:

  • Take a wok, heat up oil and fry onion until light golden.
  • Then add ginger garlic paste, mix and fry 1 minute.
  • Then add chopped tomatoes.
  • Cover and let it cook until tomatoes  become soft.
  • Then add red chili powder, turmeric powder and salt, fry well.
  • Now add meatballs to masala and cook for a few minutes – don’t move then during cooking, so they don’t break.
  • After 5 minutes, you can change sides to fry well.
  • Then add water according to how thick you want the gravy to be, and cook for 6 – 8 minutes. When gravy is done, pour in dish and add in boiled eggs cut in half.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander and ginger, and serve with naan or chapatti.
