Atte Ka Halwa Homemade Ghee

Today I’m going to share an easy 2 in 1 recipe I learnt from my mom. I will teach you how to make homemade ghee and atte ka halwa, which is also called kada prasad.
You will forget suji halwa. In this recipe, I used Erythritol sugar but this is optional. You can use regular sugar with the same quantity.

Keto Saffron Barfi

Method:

  • Take a heavy-bottomed pan and melt the butter.
  • You can see the white foam on the top. Let it boil, without stirring on low heat.
  • Then add wheat flour and stir gradually.
  • The white foam will settle down at the bottom of the pan and the foamy butter will begin to look clear.
  • The white foam will become golden brown in color and you can see the clear ghee with a nice aroma.
  • Strain the ghee in a clean dry jar and keep aside.
  • Now pour the remaining flour mixture in a wok and fry until you can smell the aroma of the wheat flour.
  • Add sugar (I added erythritol to make it sugar free, but you can use normal sugar according to your choice).
  • Fry a bit, then add water, and then fry until the water dries.
  • Add nuts, raisins, coconut and green cardamoms.
  • Delicious atte ka halwa is ready to eat.
