Ingredients for chicken:

  1. Chicken – 1 kg
  2. Salt – 1 tsp
  3. Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  4. Dry coriander powder – 1 tsp
  5. Cumin powder – 1 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
  7. Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  8. Yogurt – 1/2 cup
  9. Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  10. Degi mirch – 1 tsp

Keto Butter Chicken Curry

Ingredients for gravy:

  1. Onion – 2 medium (paste)
  2. Tomatoes – 1 ( paste )
  3. Onion – 1 sliced
  4. Potatoes – 2 to 3
  5. Oil – 3/4 cup
  6. Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  7. Cinnamon stick – 1
  8. Green cardamom – 4
  9. Cloves – 4
  10. Black pepper – 1 tsp

Ingredients for garnishing:

  1. Kasoori methi
  2. Green chillies
  3. Fresh coriander

Method:

  • In a bowl, add chicken, salt, red chili powder, dry coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, yogurt, ginger garlic paste and degi mirch. Mix well.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet or pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, green cardamom, cloves, black pepper and let them splutter.
  • Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  • Add marinated chicken and fry well. Add tomato and onion paste and fry well.
  • Add potatoes, fry a bit. Add hot water.
  • Cover the pan and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is tender and potatoes are cooked through. Add green chilies.
  • Once the chicken and potatoes are cooked, sprinkle kasoori methi over the curry and mix well.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with rice or bread of your choice.
