Chicken Shami Kabab Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. Chicken mince – 1 kg
  2. Chana daal – 250 gm
  3. Bay leaves – 2
  4. Green cardamoms – 4
  5. Big cardamoms – 2
  6. Cinnamon sticks – 1″ stick
  7. Cumin seeds – 2 tbsp
  8. Black pepper – 1 tsp
  9. Cloves – 2
  10. Ginger garlic paste – 3 tbsp
  11. Whole dry red chilies – 15 to 20
  12. Medium onion – 2 sliced
  13. Potato – 2 roughly chopped
  14. Nutmeg powder – 1 pinch
  15. Mace powder – 1 pinch
  16. Salt – 1 1/2 tsp or to taste
How to Make Lachay dar Shami Kabab: Urdu – English

Method:

  • Take a pan, add all above ingredients along with water and cook on medium heat until everything is tender and water dries.
  • When its done, discard cinnamon sticks, cloves, green cardamom, big cardamom and bay leaves from cooked mince.
  • Let it cool down, make round kebabs, dip in lightly beaten egg and shallow fry from both sides until light golden brown.
  • Serve with salad and chutney.
