Delicious Seekh Kebabs and BBQ Masala

Ingredients:

  1. Beef mince – 1 kg
  2. Thick ghee – 2 tbsp
  3. Green chillies – 6
  4. Fresh coriander – Β½ bunchs
  5. Onion – 1 medium size
  6. Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  7. Fried brown onion – Β½ cup
  8. Salt – 1 tbsp
  9. BBQ masala – 1 tbsp
  10. Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  11. Egg – 1
  12. Bread sliced or bread crumbs – Β½ cup
  13. Kachri powder – 1 tsp
  14. Mint – 2 tbsp

Method:

  • In a grinder, put onion and grind, then add mince, ghee, green chillies, salt, fresh coriander, fried brown onion, red chilli powder, BBQ masala, bread slice or bread crumbs, mint, kachri powder and ginger garlic paste, grind and make smooth paste.
  • Now add egg and mix well.
  • Take out in a bowl and mix with hands.
  • Leave for 30 minutes, then make kebabs and skew on skewers.
  • Grill, BBQ, bake, cook on gas burner or fry in frying pan on low heat until done.
  • Don’t use kachri powder if you would like to make kebabs later.
  • Also don’t use kachri powder in lamb or chicken mince.

BBQ Masala:

Ingredients:

  • Cloves – 2 tbsp
  • Cinnamon – 2tbsp
  • Nutmeg – 2
  • Big cardamoms – 2 tbsp
  • Black pepper – 2 tbsp
  • Green cardamoms – 2tbsp
  • Mace powder – 2 tbsp
  • Fennel seeds – 4 tbsp
  • Fried cumin seeds – 6 tbsp
  • Ginger powder – 4 tbsp

Method:

  • Mix all above ingredients and grind them well. Keep in clean jar.
  • Use in BBQ dishes whenever you need.

  2. Your seekh kabab recipe looks great. I want to try it tomorrow. I will be using beef for the kababs. I do not have kachri powder at home. If i use shan meat tenderizer powder as a substitute, will i need to add some amchur powder to add that tangy flavor kachri powder has? I do have amchur powder. If so how much should i put to get the right flavor? Thanks so much!
