Fish Curry in Mustard Oil

Ingredients:

  1. Surmai or Rohu fish – 1kg
  2. Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
  3. Vinegar – as required
Apply vinegar on fish and wash well. Then apply lemon juice on fish, then add a little bit of oil, sprinkle 1 pinch of salt in
  1. oil and fry fish.
  2. Mustard oil – 1 cup
  3. Fenugreek seeds – ½ tsp
  4. Cloves – 5
  5. Yogurt – 1 cup
  6. Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  7. Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  8. Crushed coriander seeds – 1 tbsp
  9. Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
  10. Salt – to taste
  11. Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
  12. Curry leaves – 5 to 6
  13. Chopped green chillies – 4
  14. Lemon – 3
  15. Coconut water – 2 cup
  16. Chopped fresh coriander – 2 tbsp

Method:

  • Take a pan, add mustard oil and fry fenugreek seeds and cloves, then add yogurt and take it off of the flame, now add red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, dry coriander, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and salt, mix and fry well.
  • Then add fried fish and spread curry leaves, green chillies, lemon juice, and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Then pour coconut water, shake pan for mixing, then cook on steam for 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander and serve.
