Spicy Fried Mutton
You tried many different types of dishes prepared with mutton. But I am sure you never tried mutton fried. Fried mutton is a very popular recipe. It’s very easy and tasty with very simple ingredients.
Ingredients:
- Mutton – 1 kg
- Crushed garlic – 1 tbsp
- Crushed ginger – 1 tbsp
- Crushed red chili – 1 tbsp
- Fried cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
- Hung yogurt – 5 tbsp
- Red chili powder – 2 tbsp
- Kachri powder – 2 tbsp
- Green chilies – 5 fines chopped
- Sesame – 3 tbsp
- Flour – 1 cup
- Onion water – ½ cup or paste 2 tbsp
- Turmeric – ½ tsp
- Salt – 1tsp
- Eggs – 3
- Oil – for fry
Method:
Take a bowl, add all above ingredients except oil and marinate mutton, leave for 7 to 8 hours or overnight. Then deep fry marinated mutton in medium hot oil until golden brown. Serve with imli (tamarind sauce) chutney.

Kachri powder substitute is papaya paste or meat tenderizer. But kachri powder is available in India. Check any spice shop.
