Spicy Pan Fried Fish

Ingredients:

  1. Surmai or Rohu Fish – ½ kg
  2. Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
  3. Red crushed chilli – 1 tsp
  4. Salt – ½ tsp
  5. Ginger garlic paste – ½ tsp
  • Wash fish with lemon and salt, pat dry.
  • Then apply lemon juice, red crushed chilli, salt, ginger garlic paste.
  • Then leave for 10 to 15 minutes.

Dry mix:

  1. Flour – 2 tbsp
  2. Gram flour – 2 tbsp
  3. Corn flour – 1 tbsp
  4. Amchoor powder – 1 tbsp
  5. Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  6. Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
  7. Salt – 1 tsp

Method:

  • Mix all dry ingredients.
  • Then take a frying pan, add ¼ cup oil.
  • Roll marinated fish in dry mix and coat well.
  • Fry in a pan with little oil until golden and crispy.

  1. I tried this recipe. The fish was spicy and delicious. I cut down on the amount of ground spices in the dry mix. Instead of 1 tbsp, I used 2 tsp each of red chilli powder, amchur powder and cumin powder and it was still spicy enough for my taste. My husband loved it too. I am adding it to my favirite recipes collection. Thank you for sharing!
