mango triflemango trifle in urduYummy Mango Trifle is a light and refreshing dessert especially for summer season.Β  Basically, there is not a specific recipe, no hard and fast rule for this to prepare.Β  You just have to use what you have at hand, layer by layer, sponge cake or any leftover cake, custard, jam, fruits, whipped cream, whatever you can think of.
Mango Trifle
Ingredients:

  1. Mango – 3
  2. Milk – 1 liter
  3. Corn flour – 4 tbsp (dissolve in some water or milk)
  4. Sponge cake – as required
  5. Sugar – 200gm
  6. Strawberry jam – 2 tbsp
  7. Strawberry jelly – 1 packet (cooked)
  8. Strawberries – as required

Method:
Take a pan, add milk and sugar, and bring to boil. Add corn flour mixture and cook until thick custard. Remove from the heat and let it cool down. Cut 1 mango in cubes and make a puree of 2 mangoes with some milk and add in cooked custard. Now place sponge cake slices on serving bowl, apply strawberry jam, then spread some fresh strawberries, then custard, then mango cubes, then cooked jelly, then strawberries and then pour rest of custard. Decorate with whipped cream and jelly. Serve this yummy trifle and enjoy summer.
