Pastry Style Aloo Paratha
Mooli Paratha
Ingredients for dough:
- Warm water – 1 cup
- Parsley – 1/2 cup chopped
- Plain flour – 300 gm
- Salt – 1/2 tsp to taste
- Oil – 1 tbsp
Ingredients for filling:
2 Ingredient Flaxseed Bread
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Onion – 3 tbsp
- Boiled and mashed potato – 250g
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
- Paprika powder – 1/2 tsp
- Oil or ghee – for fry
- Melted butter
Method to prepare paratha:
- Boil potatoes, meanwhile take a bowl, add warm water, salt, parsley and plain flour. Mix well and make a dough.
- Pour some oil on the dough and knead. Cover the dough and let it rest.
- Now make portions out of the dough and roll into dough balls. Pour some oil and cover.
- Now take a pan. Add oil, onion, mashed potatoes, salt, paprika powder. Mix well.
- Take one of the dough balls and flatten it.
- Add melted butter on top. Fold one side of the paratha, as shown in the video, and add the potato mix on top.
- Fold the other side, and apply melted butter on top again.
- Now fold from the top and bottom, until you have a small, square packet.
- Let it rest.
- Heat up a tawa or pan.
- Flatten it out into the shape of a paratha, and put the paratha on the pan. Cook well.
- Enjoy as it is or with yogurt, or any other breakfast item!
