Easy and Delicious Turkish Lahmacun Recipe
Lahmacun is a variety of pizza that is very characteristic of Turkish cuisine, even though it is of Middle Eastern origin. The name means “meat with dough”, and it is also called Turkish pizza.
It consists of a thin, round yeast dough bread that is covered with a mixture of meat, onion, tomato and seasonings before baking.
Lahmacun is a traditional fast food eaten fresh from the oven.
My whole family, who is a proud fan of the pizza world, claims that they like Lahmacun even more than Italian pizza. I like both, but Lahmacun is lighter and that is why I also prefer it.
