Spanish Omelette

Spanish omelette is a traditional dish from Spain and one of the signature dishes in the Spanish cuisine. It is an omelette made with eggs and potatoes, optionally including onion. It is often served at room temperature as a tapa.

It is commonly known in Spanish-speaking countries as tortilla de patatas, tortilla de papas or tortilla Española.

How to Make Anda Paratha (Egg Paratha): English – Urdu Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. Peeled Potatoes – 450 gm
  2. Onion – 1/4 cup chopped
  3. Oil – 2 tbsp
  4. Eggs – 4
  5. Salt – 1 tsp
  6. Black pepper = 1/4 tsp
  7. Red crushed chillies – 1/2 tsp
  8. Fresh coriander – 1 tbsp
  9. Oil – 1 1/2 tbsp

Method:

  • A simple tortilla very healthy and easy to make !!
  • Cut the potatoes very finely and chopped the onion.
  • Heat up 2 tbsp of olive oil in a pan and sauté onion, then add the potatoes. Cover the pan and cook until the potatoes are tender.
  • In a separate bowl mix the eggs (lightly beaten), salt, pepper, cooked potatoes, red chili flakes and fresh coriander.
  • Heat up 1 1/2 tbsp of oil in a frying pan and pour the potato-egg mixture and curdle over medium-high heat for 3 or 4 minutes on one side, turn the omelette with a lid (tortilla turn) or a plate and on the other side, let set for 2 minutes. If you like more or less done, vary the times.
  • Serve cold or warm.
