Sheer khurma, is a vermicelli pudding. that is a traditional Muslim festive breakfast dessert prepared on Eid ul-Fitr and Eid al-Adha in all over the world where Muslims live. This dish is made from various dry fruits, vermicelli, thickened milk, sugar etc.

Easy Sheer Khurma Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. Milk – 1 litre
  2. Green cardamoms – 5
  3. Dried dates – 1/4 cup soaked
  4. Ghee – 1 tbsp
  5. Chopped nuts – 1 tbsp
  6. Clove – 1
  7. Green Cardamoms – 2
  8. Vermicelli (saviyan) – 1 cup
  9. Condensed milk – 1/4 cup
  10. Sugar – 4 tbsp
  11. Chopped nuts – to garnish

Instant Homemade Condensed Milk: English – Urdu Recipe

Method:

  • Add milk and dates in a pan, and cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile in a separate pan, heat up ghee, stir fry chopped nut, clove and green cardamoms.
  • Add vermicelli and fry for 1 to 2 minutes and set aside to cool down a bit.
  • When it has cooled down, add the fried vermicelli along with nuts in milk to cook for 1 minute and add sugar, condensed milk, chopped nuts and mix it well.
  • Cook until the mixture becomes a little bit thick.
  • Then put in a serving bowl. Garnish with remaining chopped dry nuts.
  • Serve cold or warm, enjoy your Eid.

How to Make Malpua Recipe: English – Urdu

Ingredients:

  1. Vermicelli – 200 gm/ 1 1/2 cup
  2. Ghee – 2 tbsp
  3. Green cardamoms – 2 to 3
  4. Cloves – 2
  5. Milk – 1 liter
  6. Sugar – 200 gm or to taste
  7. Dry dates – 10 to 12
  8. Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
  9. Chopped pistachio – 2 tbsp
  10. Sliced coconut – 1 tbsp
  11. Dessicated coconut – 2 tbsp
  12. Chopped almond – 2 tbsp
  13. Raisins – 10 to 12
  14. Chironji – 1 tsp
  15. Chopped nut – as required
Gajrela Gajar ki Kheer Recipe

Method:

  • In a pan, add ghee, heat it up and add cloves and cardamom powder, fry for 3 seconds.
  • Then add vermicelli and fry a little, add half liter milk, dry dates, sugar, raisins, cardamom powder, sliced coconut, chironji, almond, pistachio, dessicated coconut, cook on low heat until vermicilli become softens.
  • Now add remaining milk and let it cook until sheer khurma little bit thickens.
  • Then put in serving bowl, garnish with remaining chopped nuts and serve cold or warm.
