Bazlama – Turkish flatbread
Bazlama is a type of traditional Turkish bread that is typically made from flour, water, and yeast. It is a soft, slightly chewy bread that is often served as a side with meals. Bazlama is similar to pita bread and can be used in a variety of dishes, including sandwiches, wraps, and kebabs. It is also sometimes served with butter or cheese as a snack.

Turkish Bread Bazlama
Ingredients:
- Plain flour – 500 gm
- Warm milk – 3/4 cup
- Warm water – 2/3 cup
- Yeast – 1 1/2 tbsp
- Sugar – 1 tbsp
- Salt – 1 1/2 tsp
- Olive oil – 3 tbsp
For garnishing bazlama turkish bread
- Melted butter
- Chilli flakes
- Dry or fresh parsley

Method:
- In a bowl, add milk, water, yeast and sugar. Mix well.
- Add flour and salt, and make smooth dough.
- Add olive oil and knead until dough absorbs the oil.
- Then form the dough into a ball. Apply olive oil and cover with cling film and set aside in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
- When the dough has risen, divide into 6 and roll each piece into a ball. Set aside for 10 minutes.
- Now roll the dough and cook in a preheated pan on medium-high heat.
- When you flip each flatbread, it should rise up to make a pocket in the middle.
- When the bread is done, apply melted butter. Sprinkle chilli flakes and parsley on top.
