Chicken Bread Recipe: English – Urdu

Ingredients for Dough:

  1. Flour – 4 cup
  2. Egg -1
  3. Yeast – 1 tsp
  4. Milk – 1 cup (Luke warm)
  5. Sugar – 6 tbsp
  6. Oil or butter – 2 tbsp

Method:

  • Mix all above ingredients in flour and make smooth dough, leave for double and then roll down and put filling.

  1. Black currants – 2 tbsp
  2. Brown sugar – 2 tbsp
  3. Raisins – 2 tbsp
  4. Butter – 1 tbsp

Method:

  • Now roll down dough in rectangular shape and apply soft butter with brush, then sprinkle raisins, black currant, brown sugar, orange candid peel, cinnamon powder and roll tightly ( like Swiss roll), then cut 9 pieces.
  • Then put in 9 inch greased pan and cover and put in warm place to rise.
  • Then apply egg and bake in preheated oven on 300 degree centigrade for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • When little bit cool down, apply glaze and serve yummy Chelsea bread with tea or coffee.

For Glaze:

  1. Icing sugar – 3 tbsp
  2. Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  3. Yellow colour – few drops
  4. Water – 1 tsp

Mix well and drizzle on baked bread and enjoy with your family and guests.
