Fafda Recipe

Fafda is a popular Gujarati snack made with gram flour and seasoning. In many festivals, fafda is the most preferred snack. It is eaten with a chutney and salty fried-green chillies.
This Gujrati snack got famous by a festival named Dussehra Traditionally, fafda and jalebi are the most sought-after sweet and salt combination in Gujarati cuisine.
Today I made fafda and enjoyed it with chutney and tea. Even my kids love this recipe. Why not try at home and enjoy with your family.

Aloo Ki Papdi Chaat Recipe: English – Urdu

Ingredients for Fafda Recipe

  1. Gram flour (besan) – 100 gm
  2. Ajwain – 1 tsp
  3. Salt – to taste
  4. Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
  5. Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
  6. Black pepper – 2 pinch
  7. Baking soda – 1/4 tsp
  8. Oil – 2 tsp
  9. Oil – for deep-fry

Keto Coffee

Method:

  • In a bowl, add gram besan, ajwain, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, black pepper, soda and oil, mix it well.
  • Add water and knead into a soft dough.
  • Then make small rolls of the dough and roll in a cylindrical shape, and flatten them with the help of your palm, deep-fry till it turns crispy.
  • Serve with fafda chutney, green chutney, fried green chillies and jalebi according to availability and choice.
