Besan ke Dahi Baray and Imli ki Meethi Chutni: English – Urdu Recipe

Ingredients for filling:

  1. Whole large green chili – ½ kg
  2. Amchoor powder – 3 tbsp
  3. Crushed dry coriander seeds – 3 tbsp
  4. Roasted crushed cumin seeds – 2 tbsp
  5. Red chili powder – 1/2 tbsp
  6. Salt – 1/2 tsp
  7. Fresh bread crumbs – 1 cup
  8. Tamarind pulp – 1 cup

Method:

  • Take whole large green chilies cut in the middle.
  • Then in a bowl add amchoor powder, crushed coriander, roasted crushed cumin seeds, red chili powder, salt, fresh bread crumbs, tamarind pulp. Mix well.
  • Then fill the mixture in chilies and set aside.

Ingredients for batter:

  1. Gram flour – 1 1/2 cup
  2. Salt – 1 tsp or to taste
  3. Baking soda – 1 pinch
  4. Red chili powder – 1/2 tbsp
  5. Crushed dry coriander – 1 tsp
  6. Roasted cumin seeds – 2 tsp
  7. Fresh coriander – 3 tbsp
  8. Semolina – 1 tbsp
  9. Oil for frying

Method:

  • In a separate bowl, add gram flour, salt, baking soda, red chili powder, crushed coriander, roasted cumin, chopped fresh coriander and semolina, mix and make batter with water.
  • Now heat oil up in a wok, and dip stuffed chilies in gram flour batter and fry until crispy and golden brown.
