Healthy Baked Chicken Recipe
How to Make Easy BBQ Chicken Tikka in Urdu – English
Ingredients:
- Chicken drumsticks – ½ Kg
- Mustard paste – 1 tsp
- Buttermilk – 1/2 cup
- Garlic paste – 2 tsp
- Hot sauce – 2 tbsp
- Whole-wheat flour – ½ cup
- Sesame seeds – 2 tbsp
- Paprika – 1 tbsp
- Dried thyme – 1 tsp
- Baking powder – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
- Black pepper – 1/2 tsp crushed
- Breadcrumbs – as required
- Oil or cooking spray
Method:
- Take a bowl, add buttermilk, mustard, garlic and hot sauce and blend until it’s well blended.
- Then add chicken and mix well.
- Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
- Line a baking sheet with foil.
- Set a wire rack on the baking sheet and coat it with cooking spray.
- Whisk flour, bread crumbs, sesame seeds, paprika, thyme, baking powder, salt and pepper in a bowl.
- Place the flour mixture in a plate and shaking off excess marinade, coat the chicken.
- Shake off excess flour and place the chicken on the prepared rack.
- Spray the chicken pieces with cooking spray.
- Bake the chicken until it turns golden brown, on 200ºC for 40 – 50 minutes or until it’s done.
- Serve with oven baked fries.
Baked Potato
- Large potato – 1 peeled and cut into wedges
- Olive oil -2 TSP
- Salt – ¼ TSP
- Dried thyme – ¼ TSP (optional)
Method:
- Toss potato wedges with oil, salt and thyme.
- Spread the wedges out on a baking sheet.
- Bake until brown and tender, turning once, for 20-30 minutes or until it’s done.
- Serve with oven baked chicken.
