Dried plums are a good choice for eye health. — vitamin A fosters good night time vision and protects the cornea. The vitamin A in this fruit is also helpful for the immune system in general. Excellent for osteoporosis and atherosclerosis, so including dried plums in your diet may help you avoid many problems later in life. You can eat as it is or make a nice and yummy sauce called chutney of aloo bukhara.

Aloo Bukharay ki Chutney

  1. Dry plums – 250gm
  2. Water – 1 1/2 cup
  3. Sugar – 1 cup
  4. Almonds – 5 to 7
  5. Red food color – 1 pinch
  6. Salt – 1/4 tsp
  7. Red chili powder – 1/4 tsp

Method:

Wash and soak dried plums overnight or for 4 to 5 hours in 1 1/2 cup of warm water, then add in a pan along with water and cook until water dries, then add sugar and cook until sugar dissolves. Then add almond, red food colour, salt and red chili, cool until it’s a little bit thick then it’s ready to eat.
