Chatpate Shami Kebab
Ingredients:
- Beef mince β 375gm
- Oil β 4 tbsp
- Garlic cloves β 3
- Roughly chopped ginger β 1 tbsp
- Bay leaves β 2
- Big cardamoms β 4
- Black peppers β 8
- Cloves β 7
- Cumin seeds β 1 tsp
- Cinnamon sticks β 4
- Whole dry red chillies β 5
- Split gram lentil β 125gm
- Onion β 1 medium
- Green chillies β 3
- Salt β to taste
- Garam masala powder β 1 tsp
- Spring onion β 1
- Turmeric powder β 1 tsp
- Fresh coriander β Β½ bunches
- Eggs β 2
- Oil β for frying
Method:
- Take a pan, heat up 4 tbsp oil, and then add garlic cloves, ginger slice, bay leaves, big cardamoms, black pepper, cloves, cumin seeds, cinnamon sticks and whole red chillies, fry for 2 seconds.
- Then add mince and fry for 2 minutes, then add split gram lentil (chana daal), onion, salt and green chillies, fry well.
- Then add garam masala powder and spring onion, mix well and fry until mince water dries. Then add 1 Β½ cups of water and turmeric powder, cook until lentil (daal) is tender.
- When water dries then remove bay leaves and put this cooked mixture in chopper and make smooth paste.
- Then add chopped fresh coriander, mix well.
- Then make round kebab, dip in lightly beaten egg and shallow fry both sides.
- Serve with mint sauce and salad.
