How to Make Churidar Pajama Step by Step Tutorial
In fashion world Churidar pajama is styled clothing and is mostly worn in South East Asia. This versatile and easy-to-wear clothing is getting popular even in the west and more people are eager to buy churidar pajamas. But that kind of pajamas are little bit expensive and middle class people can not buy or hard to find perfect stitched pajama like Indian pajama style.
I tried to explain churidar pajama pattern cutting and stitching method and everybody can sew their own churidar pajama at home. Beginners should use Rayon, silk or cotton fabric for pajamas, because these fabrics are easy to hem. Requirements:
- Fabric of any kind
- Length – 2.5 meters
- Width – 44 inches
Measurement required:
- Waist to floor – 41”
- Waist circumference –
- Hips – 36
- Crotch – ¼ hip + 4 inch
- Thigh – ¼ hip + 4 inch
- Knee – ½ knee round
- Ankle – 5 to 6 inch
Method:
- 1 Step – Fold the fabric diagonally (45 degree) for utilizing greater stretch in the bias direction.

I have brought white cotton for churidar pajama…my brother wants to wear churidar on Eid…please tell me the measurement for mens churidar..without belt but with extra churiies in pajama….
measure as it is, just take a measurement of his crotch, knee and ankle. for extra choriies take 1 3/4 meter clothe.

How do u make second leg
same as 1st one, i mean cut the 1st one and then you got pattern, so according to pattern you can cut 2nd leg piece.

Sewing is very easy for churidar pajama, if you have knowledge about basic stitching, hard part of pajama is cutting so you just cut according to instructions and join both parts and attach with belt like shalwar.

Nice tutorial…….. please give me idea to sew churidar pajama for male. I am insisting my husband to wear white churidar pajama with kurta but he says that it will not look good …. tell me is it OK to wear churidar pajama for males or should i sew a seedha pajama for him….I live in Karachi……….
If your husband has slim body, then yes he will looks nice. Better try straight pajama for try then try bag one.

I’ve bought an unstitched salwar kameez fabric, and wish to sew a churidar pajami, instead of salwar, but it is only 2-1/2 yards… will I be able to make a churidar pajami?
Yes you can stitch chorri daar with 2 1/2 yards.

To get the perfect 👌 Churi dar pajama. Like in Mughal era they have plenty of churi’s on their pajamas. So my question is that how many yard of fabric you need. What will be width of the fabric it’s 60 inch width or 55 inch width or 45 inch wide. What is best fabric to make churi dar pajama. I don’t want to purchase wrong fabrics got any suggestions.

Faiza, sorry for late reply…You need 2 and half yard, 60 inch width, Jacquard Georgette, Silk Georgette or Satin Georgette is the best fabric for churidar pajama.
