Keri Ki Meethi Chutney
This year Ramadan has come during mango season, so why not take advantage of this opportunity to make Mango Chutney.
Ingredients:
- Raw mangoes – ½ kg (peeled, cut in cubes or grate)
- Lemon – 2
- Whole red chillies – 10
- Raisins – 15
- White vinegar – ½ cup
- Sugar jaggery – 1 ½ cup
- Onion seeds – 1 tsp
- Ginger chopped – 1 ½ tbsp
- Salt – to taste
Method:
In a stainless steel pan, add raw mango, whole red chili, raisins, vinegar, sugar or gurr, onion seeds, salt and ginger. Mix and cook on low flame. When sugar or gurr turns into syrup, take it off of the flame. Let it cool down. Then mix lemon juice and preserve in a clean and dry jar. Use wooden spoon during cooking.
Its good to try in Ramadan and enjoy. 🙂
