Best Apple Crumble Recipe

After three weeks in quarantine, I ordered grocery online and by mistake, I ordered green apples and was thinking what I could do with these apples. Staying at home, I want to get into the kitchen and concentrate on making recipes. For me, it’s the best way to escape from everything and above all to eliminate unnecessary stress. But I wanted to start an intense and sweet recipe, and I think this apple crumble has fulfilled that goal.
An apple crumble is a very typical dessert and it gives you a sweet and tangy taste. Warm apple crumble is an excellent combination with vanilla ice cream.

Best Apple Crumble Recipe

Easy Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe: English – Urdu

Ingredients:

  1. Apple – 5 green or red
  2. Cinnamon powder – 1/4 tsp
  3. Castor sugar – 3 tbsp
  4. Lemon juice – 2 tsp

Ingredients for Crumble Topping;

  1. Butter – 50 gm
  2. Brown sugar – 4 tbsp
  3. Oats – 4 tbsp
  4. Plain flour – 115 gm
  5. Baking powder – 1/2 tsp
  6. Cinnamon powder – 1/2 tsp
  7. Raisins – 1/4 cup

Method:

  • Wash, peel and remove the seeds from the apples, shred 1 apple and chop the rest of them into cubes.
  • In a pan, add castor sugar, cinnamon powder, lemon juice and shredded apple. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Then add cubed apple and cook for 1 to 2 minutes to soften the apple little bit.

Prepare the crumbs:

  • In a bowl, add butter, brown sugar, oats, baking powder, flour and cinnamon powder. Mix with light hands until it turns into crumbs. Add raisins.
  • Pour cooked apple in oven proof dish. Cover the apples with the crumbs and bake on 180C in preheated oven for 20 minutes until it’s golden brown on top and you see bubbles on the edge.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream (my favorite way) or with a splash of liquid cream or alone.
