Valentine’s Day is celebrated on 14th February, the feast day of St. Valentine. It is a traditional celebration in which lovers, partners and married couples express their love and affection for each other. In some countries, it is known as The Day of Lovers or The Day of Love and Friendship.

To celebrate this special day, it is traditional to start the day with a cake. For that purpose, we have provided you with this wonderful recipe for a Red Velvet Cake. Try it out and see how it brightens up the day with its sweet and wonderful taste.

Mother’s Day Special Red Velvet Cheesecake: English – Urdu Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. Plain flour – 2 1/2 cup
  2. Coco powder – 1 tbsp
  3. Baking soda – 1 tsp
  4. Salt – 1 tsp
  5. Sugar – 1 1/2 cup
  6. Butter milk – 1 cup
  7. Oil – 200 ml/1 cup+1 tbsp
  8. White vinegar – 1 tsp
  9. Eggs – 2
  10. Butter softened – 115 gm/1/2 cup
  11. Red food color – 2 tbsp
  12. Vanilla essence – 2 tsp

Cream Cheese Frosting:

Walnut Cream Roll

Ingredients:

  1. Cream cheese – 450 gm softened to room temperature
  2. Heavy cream – 300 ml/1 1/4 cup
  3. Icing sugar – 1 1/2 cup
  4. Vanilla essence – 1 tsp

Method for Cake:

  • Grease two 8-inch cake pans, line with parchment paper.
  • Whisk the flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt together in a large bowl. Set aside.
  • Beat the butter and sugar together on medium-high speed until light fluffy.
  • Then add eggs one by one and beat well. Then add oil, vinegar, vanilla essence, and butter milk, beat until everything combined.
  • Then add the dry ingredients in 2-3 additions alternate, beat food color until combined.
  • Divide batter between cake pans. Bake in preheat oven to 175°C for 30-40 minutes or until the toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean. Remove cakes from the oven and cool completely in the pans set on a wire rack.

Method for frosting:

  • In a large bowl add the cream cheese and until smooth, add icing sugar and vanilla essence, beat until completely combined and creamy.
  • In a separate bowl beat heavy cream until stiff peaks form, gently fold into the cream cheese.

Assemble the cake:

  • Cut a thin layer off the tops of the cakes to create a flat surface. Reserve crumble to decorate cake.
  • Apply frosting on cake according to your choice and decorate.
  • Refrigerate cake for at least 30-60 minutes before slicing. This helps the cake hold its shape when cutting.
