Spicy Masala Naan
Hari Chutney Recipe: English – Urdu
Ingredients:
- Warm water – 1/4 cup
- Instant yeast – 1 tbsp
- Sugar – 1/2 tsp
- Plain flour – 400 gm
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
- Chilli flakes – 1/2 tbsp
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tbsp
- Green chillies – 3 to 4 chopped
- Chopped onion – 1/2 cup
- Olive oil – 2 tbsp
- Fresh coriander – 1/4 cup
- Warm milk – 1/2 cup

Method:
- In a small bowl, mix yeast, sugar and warm water. Stir to dissolve then let it sit for a few minutes or until it is frothy on top.
- In a separate bowl, add flour, salt, chilli flakes, cumin seeds, green chillies, onion, olive oil, fresh coriander, warm milk and yeast mixture.
- Knead the soft dough with the help of warm water.
- Cover the dough and let it rise until it doubles in size.
- After it rises, divide the dough into 6 to 8 balls and roll out with hands.
- You can cook naan on hot skillet over medium heat or bake in preheated oven or in grill until it turns golden brown.
- Cover the cooked naan with a towel to keep warm as you cook the remaining pieces.
- Brush with melted butter and serve with punjabi aloo samosa and podina ki chutney.
