How to Cook Murgh Makhni, English / Urdu Recipe
Murgh Makhni
Ingredients:
Chicken – 1 kg
Thinly chopped onion – 2
Yogurt – ½ kg
Cream – ½ cup
Butter – 100g
Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 2 tsp
Red chilli powder – 2 tsp
Ground cumin seeds – 2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
Tomato paste – 2 tbsp
Oil – 2 tbsp
Green chilli and fresh coriander – as required
Method:
Take a wok, add butter, oil and chicken, and cook chicken on high flame until colour becomes white. Then add onion, cover and cook until half done. Then add salt, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, ground cumin, ginger garlic paste and tomato paste, mix well and add lightly blended yogurt. Mix, cover and let it cook until it’s done well. Now garnish with cream, green chillies, fresh coriander, and garam masala and lemon juice. Serve hot.
