Chicken Katsu Recipe
Try this quick and easy homemade chicken katsu, also called panko chicken, Japanese fried chicken, etc. Chicken katsu is the well-known chicken that is breaded using panko. Panko is Japanese breadcrumbs shaped like small flakes.
This ingredient gives any product that you want to bread a more crunchy texture. In its preparation more spices can be added; the result is a delicious crispy meat.
Chicken is a white meat that provides significant amounts of protein to the body. These proteins are essential in the diet of children, for the proper growth and development of muscles.
They also help the formation and repair of other tissues. Chicken breast has very little fat. This makes it recommended for people who are dieting, to lose weight or control cholesterol. Also, chicken meat is digested much better than red meat.
Chicken Katsu Recipe
Crunchy Fried Shrimp
Ingredients for chicken marination:
- Boneless Chicken Breast – 500 g
- Garlic powder – 1 tsp
- Cayenne pepper – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – 1/4 tsp
Keto Chicken Tajine
Bread crumbs mix:
- Panko Bread Crumbs – 1 cup
- Garlic powder – 1/2 tsp
- Red chili powder – 1/2 tsp
- Paprika powder – 1/2 tsp
- Italian seasoning – 1/2 tsp
Remaining Ingredients:
- Oil – for frying
- Alfredo pasta (For side dish)
- All Purpose Flour
- Egg – 1
Method:
- Slice the chicken to get thin pieces and lightly pounder.
- Season the chicken on both sides with garlic powder, cayenne pepper and salt.
- Set a side for 10 minutes.
- Dip the chicken in flour, making sure cover it all over and tapping out any excess.
- Add it into the lightly beaten egg, then coat the chicken into the Panko breadcrumbs mix.
- Fry each piece in medium hot oil until golden brown and crispy.
- I served with alfredo sauce paste, you can serve as per choice.
