Chicken Shawarma
Ingredients For chicken marinating:
- 4 tbsp white vinegar
- 2 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp zeera powder
- 1 garlic clove
- 500g skinless, boneless chicken thighs
- Red food colour 1 pinch
Mix all ingredients and leave for 4 hrs then cook in pan with oil.
Hummus Sauce
- 1cup Chick peas boiled
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt
- 1 clove garlic
- Lemon juice as Required
- ½ tsp Red chilli powder
- 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
- Salt as Required
Put all ingredients in blender and blend and make smooth paste.
Pickle
- Mix vegetables as Required
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- Salt as Required
Put all ingredients in pan and boil then put vegetables in clean jars and pour boiled water and close and leave them for 2 to 3 days and then use.
Pitta Bread
- 500g Plain Flour
- 4 tsp Baking Powder
- 2 to 3 pinches Salt
- 1 tbsp Sugar
Mix all and make dough and leave for 15 min and make pita bread in frying pan or oven.
DIRECTIONS:
- Cut chicken into slices.
- Apply hummus sauce on pitta bread then.
- Place sliced chicken, pickled vegetables, tomato, and lettuce onto pita bread.
- Roll up, and top with the hummus sauce and serve.
