👩🍳 How to Make Lachha Paratha
Step 1: Prepare the Dough
- In a large bowl, mix flour, semolina, baking powder, salt, and honey. Gradually add warm milk and knead into a soft, smooth dough. It should not be sticky.
- Divide into 4 portions, apply a little oil, and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Step 2: Create the Layers
- Grease your work surface with oil. Take one dough ball and stretch it into a thin sheet using your hands.
- Brush melted butter over it and sprinkle a little flour. Fold one side toward the center, then fold the other side over it to form a strip. Roll it into a cylinder (log shape).
- Repeat with all dough and let them rest for 10 minutes.
Step 3: Roll the Paratha
Flatten each cylinder gently and roll into a circle using a rolling pin. Use light pressure to keep the layers intact.
Step 4: Cook the Paratha
Heat a tawa or skillet over medium heat. Place the paratha and cook, flipping several times. Apply oil or butter and cook until golden brown and crispy.
