Fluffy Instant Tawa Naan

Fluffy Instant Tawa Naan
Makes 5 – 6 big naan
Wheat Garlic Naan
Dry Ingredients:
- All-purpose flour (maida) – 375 gm + 45gm
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Baking powder – 5gm / 1tsp
- Baking soda – 1/2 tsp / 3gm
Keto Roghni Naan
Wet ingredients:
- Warm milk – 3/4 cup
- Thick yogurt – 125gm
- Sugar – 1 1/2 tsp
- Oil – 3 tbsp
Optional toppings:
- Nigella seeds (kalonji)
- Cilantro/coriander
- Chili flakes
- Butter or ghee
Method:
- Make the dough
- Mix dry and wet ingredients in separate bowls.
- Knead into a soft dough.
- Rest
- Cover and rest for 5 minutes.
- Shape
- Divide into equal balls.
- Roll into oval or round naan shapes.
- Press coriander, kalonji and chili flakes on top if using.
- Cook on tawa
- Heat a cast-iron or heavy tawa well.
- Lightly wet one side of the naan with water.
- Place the wet side down on the hot tawa so it sticks.
- Cook
- When bubbles appear, flip the tawa upside down over direct flame so the top cooks and chars slightly.
- If using a nonstick pan, just flip and cook both sides normally.
- Finish
- Brush with butter or ghee.
- Serve hot.
