Fruit Kheer with Custard

Ingredients:

  1. Rice – 3 tbsp (soaked in water)
  2. Sugar – to taste
  3. Milk – 1 liter
  4. Dry fruits – as required
  5. Vanilla custard – 3 to 4 tbsp
  6. Saffron – ¼ tsp
  7. Fresh cream – ¼ cup (lightly beaten)
  8. Fruit cocktail – 1 tin (drained)
  9. Apple – 1
  10. Banana – 4
  11. Grapes – 250 g
  12. Cherries – 5
  13. Butter – 1 tbsp

Method:

  • Take a pan and put milk and cook until evaporates, then add soaked rice and cook till the rice done well.
  • Then add sugar and cook until sugar dissolves, now add custard (mix in little bit of cold milk) gradually.
  • When it’s a bit thick, then take it out from cooker and let it cool.
  • Then add fresh fruits in this mixture.
  • Take other pan, put butter, when its melt add fruit cocktail and 1 tbsp of sugar, mix well and take it of from cooker.
  • Now in serving dish, spread fruit mix, then beaten cream, then fruit mix custard, then decorates with fresh cream, banana slices, cherries, chopped dry fruits and silver paper and serve.
