Fruit Kheer with Custard
Ingredients:
- Rice – 3 tbsp (soaked in water)
- Sugar – to taste
- Milk – 1 liter
- Dry fruits – as required
- Vanilla custard – 3 to 4 tbsp
- Saffron – ¼ tsp
- Fresh cream – ¼ cup (lightly beaten)
- Fruit cocktail – 1 tin (drained)
- Apple – 1
- Banana – 4
- Grapes – 250 g
- Cherries – 5
- Butter – 1 tbsp
Method:
- Take a pan and put milk and cook until evaporates, then add soaked rice and cook till the rice done well.
- Then add sugar and cook until sugar dissolves, now add custard (mix in little bit of cold milk) gradually.
- When it’s a bit thick, then take it out from cooker and let it cool.
- Then add fresh fruits in this mixture.
- Take other pan, put butter, when its melt add fruit cocktail and 1 tbsp of sugar, mix well and take it of from cooker.
- Now in serving dish, spread fruit mix, then beaten cream, then fruit mix custard, then decorates with fresh cream, banana slices, cherries, chopped dry fruits and silver paper and serve.
