How to Make Easy Butter Chicken
Butter chicken is popular in countries all over the world. Butter chicken is usually served with naan, roti, parathas, roomali roti or steamed rice. Try this easy butter chicken recipe and you will forget the restaurant bought.
Ingredients:
- Boneless chicken – ½ kg cut in cubes
- Salt – ½ tsp
- Chopped garlic – 1 tsp
- Red chili powder– 1 tsp
- Chopped onion – 2 tbsp
- Coconut milk powder – 2 tbsp dissolves
- Butter – 2 tbsp
- Oil – 2 tbsp
Method:
- Take a wok, add oil and butter, heat up and sauté garlic, ginger and onion.
- Then add chicken cubes, red chili, salt, fry well.
- Then add butter sauce and coconut milk powder, mix and cook for 5 to 8 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander, green chili and serve with boil rice or Tandoori parathay.
Ingredients for butter sauce:
- Butter – 2 tbsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Chopped garlic – 1 tsp
- Ginger flakes – 1 tbsp
- Tomato paste – 3 tbsp
- Red chili powder – ½ tsp
- Sugar – 1 tsp
- Garam masala powder – ½ tsp
- Corn flour – 1 tsp
- Fresh cream – 2 tbsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
- Salt – to taste
- Fresh coriander – 2 tbsp chopped
Method for sauce:
- Take a pan, add oil and butter, heat up and add garlic, ginger flakes and stir fry.
- Then add tomato paste, red chili, salt, sugar, mix and fry for 1 minute.
- Then add 1 cup water, bring to boil and add corn flour mixture.
- Let it cook for 2 minutes.
- Then add fresh cream, mix well.
- Butter sauce is ready to make Butter chicken.

Wow! Finally a delicious Indian dish that doesn’t take overnight marinating and tons of obscure ingredients. Have all the prep work done (chopping measuring, etc.) before you heat the oil and you will be able to finish this dish in no time. Even my hubby loved it.
