Plain Naan is a classic Indian flatbread traditionally cooked in a tandoor, but you can easily recreate the same soft and fluffy texture at home using a simple tawa (skillet). This homemade naan recipe requires no yeast and uses basic pantry ingredients, making it perfect for everyday meals.
The dough is enriched with yogurt, baking powder, and baking soda, giving the naan a light, airy structure. Cooking it on a tawa creates beautiful brown spots and a slightly smoky flavor—very similar to restaurant-style naan.
