- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a small amount of oil and butter.
- Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for about 10-15 seconds on each side, ensuring the bread is evenly coated but not soggy.
- Place the soaked bread slices onto the preheated skillet or griddle.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Transfer the cooked French toast to a plate and keep warm while you cook the remaining slices, adding more butter and oil to the skillet or griddle as needed.
