Chana Daal Gosht

Paya Chana Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. Mutton – ½ kg
  2. Boiled chana daal – 1 cup
  3. Oil – ½ cup
  4. Ground fried brown onion – 2
  5. Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
  6. Sugar – 1 tsp
  7. Yogurt – ½ cup
  8. Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  9. Red chilli powder – 2 tsp
  10. Blended tomato – 2
  11. Green chillies – 4
  12. Salt – to taste
  13. Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
  14. Fresh coriander – 2 tbsp

Method:

  • Add oil in a pan, fry mutton until light brown along with ginger garlic paste.
  • Then add turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt, fry well.
  • Now add fried onion and tomato, cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Then add yogurt and cook until mutton is tender.
  • Now add garam masala powder, sugar and boiled daal, cook for 10 more minutes.
  • Then add green chili, fresh coriander and ginger, cook on dum for 2 to 3 minutes. Chana daal gosht is ready to serve with chapattis.
